PRETORIA, South Africa – The new Jaguar F-Type SVR will have its global debut at the coming 2016 Geneva auto show and be in showrooms globally in the second half of the year.

“The lighter, faster and more powerful SVR,” Jaguar says, “has taken performance, dynamics and driver-involvement to new levels yet retains the comfort and duality of character of all Jaguar cars.”

It’s a Jaguar Special Vehicles version of the already on the-road F-Type R and, the automaker adds, is capable of 320km/h so “is the first Jaguar SVR developed to exploit the two-seat aluminium sports car’s full potential while retaining its day-to-day usability”.

TITANIUM EXHAUST ‘SOUNDS THE PART’

John Edwards, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations’ MD, told The Corner in a media release: “This SVR is the first series production Jaguar to have been developed by Special Vehicle Operations and benefits from everything we know about precision engineering, performance and design.

“The result is a 320km/h supercar that you can drive every day yet will absolutely sound the part, thanks to a new titanium exhaust system.”
