- First glimpse of SUV concept from Infiniti
- Inspired by ‘Powerful Elegance’ form language
- World premiere coming soon in China
ROLLE, Switzerland – Infiniti has revealed a glimpse of what it describes as its “daring new QX Sport Inspiration, an exploration of the brand’s vision for a next-generation, mid-size premium SUV”.
The SUV, Infiniti told The Corner, was inspired by the brand’s ‘Powerful Elegance’ design philosophy, standing out “through its striking design details and sophisticated craftsmanship”.
The concept rendering, it adds, illustrates SUV-like proportions highlighted by wide and muscular shoulders reminiscent of the Q60 Concept, floating A-pillars and extra-wide wheel arches.
‘IT’S SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING’
Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti’s executive design director, commented: “The QX Sport Inspiration expresses a power and purpose that is uniquely Infiniti. With a flowing, natural aesthetic, this concept demonstrates how Infiniti can offer something new and exciting with future QX SUV models.”
The Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration will have its global debut at the 2016 Beijing auto show media days over April 25/26. If you happen to be in Beijing around then, the public viewing days will run from April 29 to May 4.
