You’re looking at the most exclusive BMW motorcycle in the brand’s history, the BMW HP4 RACE.
The motorcycle is an advanced prototype showing the pure carbon-fibre main frame and carbon-fibre wheel rims and it was presented at the November 2016 Eicma motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.

It’s a teaser ahead of serial production, due to start in 2017, and frankly The Corner thinks it’s a work of art…
“It was,” BMW Motorrad said at the ‘reveal’, “initially left open as to how far the advanced prototype reflected what the final motorcycle would look like.”

And the only definitive information provided by Stephan Schaller, president of Motorrad, was about the frame and wheels. He said:
“The HP4 RACE will feature the full carbon-fibre main frame and carbon-fibre wheel rims as shown here. We’ll reveal more about the model next European) spring.”
What is certain, The Corner was told, it that the HP4 RACE will be assembled (if that isn’t to coarse a word for how the bike will be put together) by hand in an exclusive limited series and supplied in the second half of 2017.
Dammit!
