- Two-tone is back – silver or red?
- 1.2-litre engine good for 61kW/115Nm
- Roof rails, alloy wheel rims, included

JOHANNESBURG, Gauteng – Indian automaker Mahindra is bringing some fresh colour to the South African auto market with two-tone versions of its 1.2-litre KUV100 K8+ small hatchback.
The cheerful choices? Petrol units will, Mahindra says, offer red with a black roof or silver with a black roof and include 15″ diamond-cut alloy wheel rims and new black upholstery.
The price is bright, too – R193 995, including a three-year or 50 000km service plan, three-year or 100 000km warranty and three years of roadside assistance.

A media communication from Mahindra SA says the cars’ exterior design goes with today’s youth and their aspirations with its confident stance, focused from with daytime running lights, wraparound headlights and chromed accents.
FLOATING FACIA
Roof rails are also a feature, along with a rear spoiler, double-barrel tail lights, distinctive alloy wheel rims, wheel-arch stone guards and car-park proof body cladding.
Mahindra has also looked towards a younger market with dual-tone interiors and piano-black inserts, a floating facia, joystick-like gear-shifter, sporty front seats/head restraints, “premium” fabric upholstery and mood lighting.
The cars’ Falcon 1200cc aluminium petrol engine makes 61kW at 5500rpm, 115Nm at 3500rpm and, Mahindra claims, less than six litres/100km is possible.
