- More power, more accessories for off-roader
- Top model renamed, rebadged
- Electronic parking aid included

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – The Toyota Land Cruiser 200 has been given “an injection of power” to, the automaker says, “further bolster its credentials”.
And add to its “outstanding quality, durability and reliability, unrivalled off-road performance, and enveloping luxury and comfort”.

As before, the Land Cruiser 200 is powered by a robust 4.5-litre, quad-valve, DOHC, V8 turbodiesel with a broad torque band but the upgrade has added 22kW (now 195) delivered at 3400rpm and 35Nm to reach 650, available from 1600-2600rpm.
STILL TWO GRADES
The V8 spins a six-speed auto transmission with normal or low-range.
Toyota says the convenience specification list has also been expanded. As before, two grades are available: a utility focused GX and an upmarket VX – now rebadged as VX-R.

GX models receive roof rails, centre console coolbox, rear tonneau cover and rear parking radar. VX-R buyers will enjoy roof rails, auto-folding power exterior mirrors, and a tow hitch.
