MIDRAND, South Africa – Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is to open the brand’s first pop-up store in South Africa in time for Christmas 2017.
The selling concept is growing in popularity across Europe but this one will be erected by Arnold Chatz Cars, an FCA franchise, at Johannesburg’s Clearwater Mall (see map) in Strubens Valley on the West Rand and be supported by FCA SA’s head office.
FCA SA says the “store” will bring the brand’s vehicles to the customers and offer a convenient way to shop for a new car with Chatz staff present to handle queries and organise test drives.

Vehicles on display will be from Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep and include the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio – the brand’s first sport utility vehicle – as well as the Alfa Romeo Giulia.
Fiat Chrysler is planning to run more pop-up stores based on the success of this the first, the intention being, it says, “to further the brand’s commitment to the country and to the South African automotive market”.
