AFFORDABLE ENTRY

March 2018 has brought an addition to the Renault Kwid range: an AMT (auto) derivative to join the current Expression and Dynamique manual models.

”As an innovative and affordable entry-level vehicle,” Renault says, ”the new Kwid overturns established entry-segment design cues thanks to its robust and stylish exterior plus a modern, spacious and inviting cabin equipped with features usually unavailable in its class.

David Durand, head of Kwid styling, added: “The Kwid is an entirely new car and has surprises inside and out” and now the cars’ success has brought a ”bespoke” Limited Edition – the Kwid Climber – which, the automaker says, takes Dynamique Trim to new heights.

There’s an exterior styling pack for both the ‘Electric Blue’ and ‘Planet Grey’ versions, a two-tone exterior enhanced with Kwid Climber logos, door-protection cladding, and rugged bumper overriders.

The cabin has a strong piano-black centre fascia which continues the orange contours and the head-restraints on the two-tone seats also have the Climber insignia. The ”vibrant orange” accents continue on the door trim, side air-vents, two-tone gear-shifter and the steering wheel – that last with orange perforations.
