- Hotshot power for new Opel Sport hatch
- Comprehensive crash mitigation/avoidance
- Special price until end-July 2018

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – New for South Africa from Opel is a pretty high-performance hatch badged as the Opel Corsa Sport 1.4T that’s aimed at younger, sportier, drivers and has comprehensive connectivity and a power sunroof.
And one heck of a baby engine…
In Opel’s effusive words: ”The four-door hatch has been designed to impress, with engine power and features beyond those usually expected from a vehicle in this segment and at its price.”

Included in the deal for R268 320 is an exterior body kit, sport suspension and 17” dark Titanium alloy wheel rims and a 1.4-litre turbo engine that can send 110kW / 220Nm to the six-speed manual gearbox, which is a lot of clout for such a modestly dimensioned automobile.
AUTO WIPERS / LIGHTS
The Corsa Sport has a range of crash avoidance/mitigation features: daytime running lights, blind-spot alerts gradient start assistant, anti-lock brakes and six crash bags.
Driver assistance comes via cruise control, automatic bi-xenon headlights with cornering adjustment, front foul-weather lights and rain-sensing screen wipers.
Opel claims a possible fuel-consumption figure of 5.8 litres/100km.
