- Are you tough enough to score in Honda Quest?
- Entries open to male and female bikers
- Be ready for 2500km of tough off-road riding
JOHANNESBURG, Gauteng – Entries have opened for the 2018 Honda Quest True Adventure 2018 – said to be ”the ultimate adventure motorcycle competition on the ultimate adventure motorcycle, the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin”.
Do you have what it takes? Honda SA says: ”We’re looking for true adventure riders of southern Africa. Men and women of courage who are adventurous, don’t shy away from physical and mental challenges, take the initiative, and function as part of a team.”
The organisers say Quest is not a race or a rally, its an adventure expedition to test human endurance and adaptability. Finalists will be tested on their adventure motorcycle riding, mechanical skills, their endurance, courage, and ‘their resilience against the African terrain.
What happens next?
After receipt of entries Honda Motorcycles Southern Africa, along with Specialised Adventures, will select 30 applicants to attend Quest Boot Camp in Cape Town from October 1-3 2018.
There instructors will select 14 finalists for the Quest True Adventure – a 10-day, 2500km, off–road expedition in the Northern and Western Cape starting on October 19, 2018.
Costs and logistics
Participation in the Honda Quest True Adventure 2018 is free but travel to and from Cape Town for Boot Camp and Quest is not included. Entrants should take note of the dates for Boot Camp and the actual Quest event, should they need to apply for time off work.
