SINGAPORE – Formula 1’s Force India team boss Otmar Szafnauer, Reuters reports, has ”read the Riot Act” to driver Sergio Perez.
Why? Reuters says he was describing Perez’ ”erratic performance” during the September 2018 Singapore Grand Prix as “unacceptable” after the Mexican pushed team mate Estaban Ocon into the track wall.
‘THERE WAS ENOUGH ROOM…’
Perez also held up Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and collided with Sergey Sorotkin’s Williams before finishing the race 16th.
Szafnauer told Reuters after the race: “You say to them ‘that’s unacceptable’. There was enough room on the left… you’ve got to give your team mate enough room.”
