JOHANNESBURG, Gauteng – Mitsubishi Motors South Africa is offering a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Shogun Limited Edition, based on the Pajero Sport 4×4 eight-speed auto with a special ”extras” offering.
The automaker says the special deal adds R60 000 of extras that includes an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, greater ground clearance, ”’state of the art” tech, seven seats and full off-road capability.

The special units, the automaker says, are available in silver, grey or white and based on the Pajero Sport 4×4 auto, a finalist in the 2017 SA African Car of the Year programme.
SEVEN SEATS, EXTRA HEIGHT
Nic Campbell, Mitsubishi Motors SA’s general manager, told The Corner: ”The new Pajero Sport Shogun is stylish and luxurious with a bolder look – it’s a family SUV.”
It’s said to be meant for families who like cabin space, safety, practicality and the extra ride height it offers, along with seven seats and its car-like handling.
Among its features are an eight-speed auto transmission and Mitsubishi Motors’ Super Select II all-wheel drive that includes electronic off-road assistance, gradient descent control, stability/traction control and a rear differential lock.

The wagon’s 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine can make 133kW at 3500rpm and 430Nm at 2500rpm and is rated to tow 2790kg (braked) so take along a caravan, boat, or even a horsebox.
LEATHER UPHOLSTERY
Crash protection/mitigation gear includes seven crash-bags, child-seat anchors, auto windscreen wipers, rear parking radar and camera, anti-lock brakes, hill-start support, and daytime lights.
The cabin has leather upholstery – the driving seat has power adjustment – along with a multi-function, leather-wrapped, height-adjustable steering-wheel and cruise control.
So what does the R60 000 of ‘extras’ include? Apple and Android capability of the hugely upgraded factory-fitted infotainment system, including a 19cm touchscreen, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB connector.

Also in the package are Thule roof racks, headlights protectors, bonnet guard, black nudge bar, black door releases, boot cover, side-windows visor/deflector set, tow ball, Shogun decals and a branded grey Shogun mats set.
