LONDON, England – Not the best thing to happen to anybody just before Christmas… but the good news is that the driver survived and, The Corner hopes, turned up back home for Christmas lunch.
The R3.5-million Lamborghini sports car crashed in daylight off the M62 freeway which crosses England from Liverpool in the north-west to Hull on the country’s east coast.

The driver, who was not immediately indentified, had only minor injuries, the Liverpool Echo newspaper reported..
POLICE ABUSED
The crash closed one lane of the motorway near Manchester, a move that attracted the attention of passing drivers who shouted at officers after being slowed by the traffic tailback.
Such was the abuse, the Echo reported, that police broadcast on local radio: “Please give us some space as you drive past. Revving your engines and shouting at us won’t speed up the re-opening process!”
