CHICAGO, Illinois – Mazda Motor Corporation has announced it will premiere a new MX-5 model to mark 30 years of one of the world’s best-loved small sport cars.
Fittingly, it will be badged as the Mazda MX-5 Roadster 30th Anniversary Edition, be individually numbered, and be shown to the public at the 2019 Chicago later today (Feb 9 2019) – the very venue at which if was pioneered back in 1989.
Mazda rates the car as ”the most popular roadster in history with more than a million units sold worldwide as a symbol of Mazda’s automaking philosophy and tireless pursuit of driving pleasure”.
Mazda said the car was created ”as an expression of appreciation” for buyers all over the world who have supported its success.
