CHICAGO, Illinois – Subaru has unveiled an all-new, seventh-generation, Legacy sedan at the 2019 Chicago auto show, a model regarded as the brand’s flagship since 1989,
”Throughout its 30 years,” the automaker says, ”the Legacy has enriched owners’ daily lives with a broader range of lifestyles and enjoyment.
”This the seventh generation has enhanced that under the product concept of ‘a sedan offering a go-anywhere, do-anything driving experience with a peace of mind’.”
The cars will have either a 2.4-litre turbocharged horizontally-opposed engine capable, the automaker says, of strong torque from low RPM or a 2.5-litre non-turbo with better through direct fuel-injection system.
Subaru’s EyeSight driving assistance is standard and inclujdes following cruise control that includes lane-keeping.
”The shell,” Subaru says, ”has a sleek silhouette that appears to be in motion even when stationary but has, larger profile panels which suggest solid toughness and a dynamic active image.”
The cabin goodies include an updated infotainment system that includes a 30cm, tablet style, screen.”

Subaru’s media material says the new cars have a lot of additional enhancements which, it says, ”will deliver safer and more enjoyable life with a sedan offering a go-anywhere, do-anything, driving experience”.
The latest Legacy will go on sale in the US towards the end of 2019.
