BARCELONA, Spain – Claire Williams has scoffed at hints that the Williams F1 team is in financial trouble, a rumour spread before the team turned up three days late for pre-season testing here.
She’s deputy team principal whose dad Frank founded what became one of the most successful teams in the sport’s 69-year history and also denied she might have to resign.

She told Reuters at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya: “We have problems and we’ve got to fix them but Williams is not in crisis, not in turmoil,. If you spent five minutes at our plant you’d know that wasn’t the case.”
FOCUS ON PADDY LOWE?
She admitted the cars were late ”for a number of reasons” but did not elaborate.
Reuters said media speculation had focused on the future of technical director Paddy Lowe.
