CREWE, England – Bentley Motors is celebrating its centenary by unveiling its vision of the future of luxury mobility at The Home of Bentley in Crewe, central England… The Bentley EXP 100 GT which the automaker describes as ”a physical embodiment of the future Bentley brand, Grand Touring for the future”.
Bentley describes the supercar as a concept to enhance the owner’s Grand Touring experience, whether driving or being driven autonomously.
”The Bentley EXP 100 GT was born from pure Bentley DNA,” the company says, ”and inspired by the company’s deep understanding of the desires of its intelligent, forward-thinking, customers. It embraces artificial intelligence (AI) toassert the car as a place for creating, experiencing, and capturing extraordinary human experiences and emotions.”

‘VISION OF THE FUTURE’
The cabin is luxuriously tactile and has Bentley’s Personal Assistant to enhance their Grand Tour experiences.

The Bentley is said to incorporate the company’s DNA: despite its futuristic look it’s ”instantly recognisable” as a Bentley.
The shell is made with aluminium and carbon fibre, is a parking-slot unfriendly 5.8m long and almost 2.4m wide. There are decorative features made of copper and aluminium, both natural sustainable materials. The driver and passenger doors are two metres wide and pivot outwards and upwards for easy. Fully open, they rise to almost three metres, adding to the sense of occasion on arrival.

The exterior lighting is said to be ”dynamic and dramatic”, its focal point an illuminated matrix grille and Flying B mascot which come to life as one approaches the car, light playing across the grille, through the Flying Lady, and along the bonnet to the cabin itself.
”The car,” Bentley says, ”literally comes alive.”
The cabin uses ”the finest natural materials”: wood, leather and glass to create a passenger environment said to boost humans’ physical and mental well-being.
The Bentley Personal Assistant is a centre piece of the main console and visualised using illuminated crystal from Cumbria, England. Ambient lighting can also be modified to recreate a specific mood or exterior environment, while additional effects are delivered through projection mapping onto trim panels, such as door pads.
Biometric seats track eye and head movements – even blood pressure. ”It represents.” Benley says, ”the future of customised, in-car, comfort far beyond any seating experienced in a 2020 car.”
The Bentley EXP 100 GT is said to be an extraordinary step on the road towards a carbon-free future using a sustainable and intelligent battery electric powertrain, with ”intelligent” power and charge management. The battery system will power four motors that offer a 0-100km (0-60 mph) in less than 2.5sec, top speed of 300lm/h and maximum torque of 1500Nm.
Future battery technology will offer five times conventional energy density,and charging to 80% capacity will take only 15 minutes, done automatically. Range is expected to be about 700km.
