HIGH WYCOMBE, Engand – Hyundai Motor has revealed the first sketch of an all-new i10 ahead of its appearance scheduled for the 2019 Frankfurt auto show.
The Korean automaker says it’s created a new-look dynamic design ”which contrasts between soft surfaces and sharp lines” with proportions amended in terms of width, height and wheel size.
”The result,” Kia says, ”is an energetic and agile look.”
The car is described by its maker as having a wide grille to express its ”sporty” character and to host daylight running lights.
”The X-shaped C-pillar,” Kia says, ”clearly identify the car and draws the eye to the pillar-mounted logo. Unique triangular volumes visually emphasise the width of the car and highlight the position of the wheels.”
The cars will also, The Corner was told, have a range of new connectivity features to handle Blue Link, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, and wireless smartphone charging. The unit will also display the image from a rear-view camera.
Collision avoidance gear will include forward radar to identify threatening vehicles and pedestrians. Lane-keeping and auto high-beam have also been introduced.
More details about the All-New i10 will be released in the near future. When they are The Corner will have them.
