THE all-new Seltos compact SUV will be in South African Kia showrooms in the next week or so but meanwhile here’s the information released so far by the local Kia organisation.
”The Seltos,” Kia says, ”will bring sophistication and assertiveness to the ever-growing compact SUV segment.”
Gary Scott, Kia Motors SAs CEO, told The Corner in a media release: ”The Seltos will be an exciting addition to the brand’s line-up in South Africa. The country’s love affair with SUV’s continues to grow so we’re excited to offer another progressive, high-quality, ia model in a very competitive segment.”
The Seltos is being assembled at Kia plants in Korea and India – the latter being responsible for SA’s stock. The plant opened in January 2019 and sales began in India in July 2019 when 6046 units were ordered.
More than 3000 people showed interest on the brand’s website and two will be entered for an international Kia Seltos ‘Experience’ – one will visit the home of Kia in South Korea, the other will attend the Australian Open in Melbourne in January 2020.
The all-new Kia Seltos will be in showrooms across South Africa by the middle of November 2019 and more information about specification and prices will be released later.
