MUNICH, Germany – The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC is said to represent a new form of luxury in the SUV segment and to extend the portfolio of the Mercedes-Maybach brand by combining the body design and technical basis of the GLS with the luxury of a top-class sedan.
One could also call it a brute of a vehicle but with a spacious interior lined with the best of materials and superb sound insulation. It’s also a high-performance wagon. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic will go on sale in the US in the second half of 2020.
The air suspension included with the body control system flattens road bumps and the 2020 Maybach for the first time has a drive programme that ensures superb comfort. Even entering and leaving the wagon is said to be easy: when a door is opened a step slides silently from beneath.

The four-litre V8 engine can make 410kW and 730Nm of torque and was developed exclusively for Maybach – the idea being ”to move the car discreetly and powerfully”. The engine is combined with a 48V electric boost. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC will go on sale in the U.S. in the second half of 2020.
Chromed highlights around the side windows and chromed inserts in the sill panels are said to lend dignity and elegance to the profile. A choice of 22 or 23” wheels were developed exclusively for this model.

The tailpipe trim elements have a small cross rib to emphasise the model’s identity as a Mercedes-Maybach. The same, the automaker says, applies to the brand’s emblem positioned at various points such as on the D-pillar.
Two-tone paintwork is available in a choice of eight colour combinations.
