
LONDON, England – The 2020 Mazda2 range has arrived in UK vehicle showrooms with a choice of five models carrying fresh exterior design, new Skyactiv technology, more refinement, and a fuel-saving hybrid system.
The shell has been redesigned, new technology added along with better refinement, and an upgraded cabin but all five will be powered by the current 1.5-litre Skyactiv-G petrol engine – which for the first time has been matched to Mazda’s M Hybrid mild-hybrid system.
The grille now has a mesh pattern like that of the latest Mazda3 hatch and the wider signature wing and revised headlights are said to heighten the Mazda2’s sporty appearance.

The cabin gets new facia trim, air vent louvres and door inserts and new front seats new soundproofing comes with revised sealing rubbers between the roof panel and the boot.

All manual transmission cars will benefit from mild-hybridisation with the debut of Mazda M Hybrid that uses a belt-equipped start generator (B-ISG) and brake regeneration, As a result manual versions of the 2020 Mazda2 emit 94-95g/km depending on trim level.
Entry models have rear parking sensors, 15” alloy wheel rims, diod headlights, aircon and cruise control. Other models include a 19cm colour touch-screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, the safety equipment tally is enhanced with auto braking and lane-keeping.

The top models have 16” alloy wheelrimss, gloss black grille, rear smoked glass, shark-fin antenna and chromed exhaust, plus it benefits from the smart keyless entry. The flagship GT Sport Nav gets a reversing camera, leather upholstery, and a colour head-up display, plus front-seat and steering wheel heating.
