
LONDON, England – SsangYong Motors Musso bakkie has won the UK’s 4×4 Magazine ‘Best Value Bakkie’ title for a second time, and follows a ”highly commended” award from WhatVan?.
4×4 Magazine’s editor Alan Kidd told The Corner in a media release: ”TheMusso took this award in 2019 so it is no surprise to see it here again. It’s an unbeatable amount of truck for the money and has towing and carrying abilities that make it very fit for purpose.”
The bakkie, at least in the UK, comes with a seven-year or 240 000km warranty – ”the best in the pick-up business”.
‘EXTREMELY STRONG’
The automaker says the bakkie is ”more than just cheap” thanks to having the more-upmarket Rexton underpinnings. ”It deserves to be taken seriously at any price – especially such a good one,” the automaker adds.
The Musso pick-up, which arrived in the UK in 2018, shares its body-on-frame construction to give an extremely strong vehicle that delivers excellent off-road driving performance and safety from its quad-frame and all-wheel-drive.
GREAT CABIN SPACE
The SUV-based Musso combines a five-seat crew-cab with a loadbed that can accommodate a standard Euro pallet, and tow up to 3500kg – the best in the segment.
The cabin has ”excellent” shoulder and leg room, front and rear, as well as. DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity and all but the entry model have an infotainment system that includes 20cm screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wi-fi, or a 23cm screen with TomTom satnav.
