TOKYO, Japan – Honda is starting 2020 with a first showing of a Civic Type R hot hatch updated shellwise for the new century and has unveiled the car at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
Further, what the automaker describes as ”the pinnacle of Honda’s sport-car offering – the three-motor hybrid NSX supercar – also gets an update. The car will be available with a new Indy Yellow Pearl II paint job.
The colour was previously used on the original iconic NSX and S2000 models in Europe.

The NSX, created to bring a ‘New Sports eXperience’ to the supercar segment, claims to be ”the ultimate representation of Honda performance”. Respecting the core characteristics and differentiators of the original NSX, the current Honda NSX pursues an altogether new and revolutionary idea for Honda supercar performance.
The 21st-century ”human-centred supercar”, Honda says, ”marries timeless sport-car values with next-generation advanced sports hybrid power technologies”.
