JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Suzuki SA sold a record number of cars, commercials and SUV units through January 2020.
The National Association of Automobile Manufacturers reported 1632 of its vehicles sold through the first month of the new decade to show 61.4% sales growth over a year earlier.
André Venter, divisional sales manager for Suzuki Auto SA. told The Corner: “Gross industry sales of new vehicles declined by 8.1% against January 2019 – though not all auto brands have reported.
”Those of sold by Suzuki’s have grown significantly – a testament to our sales team’s hard work.
”Many of our dealers reported a healthy sales pipeline and pent-up demand with orders in place for February and beyond. Demand for Swift, Jimny, and Ertiga has never been stronger – and new models are on the horizon – among them the S-Presso.”
