DURBAN, South Africa – Toyota’s RAV4 leisure wagon has been treated to ”functionality upgrades” in response to feedback from its customers. Here’s the breakdown…
Tactile upgrade
GX-grade RAV4 uits now have a ”tactile” upgrade: leather wrapping for the steering-wheel and gear-shifter knob to replace previous urethane counterparts.

Safety tech upgrade
What Toyota describes as ”the luxury VX-grade” models will now include self-adjusting cruise control instead of the previous system that only operated above 40km/h and lane-keeping ability.
Multimedia upgrade
APPLE CarPlay and Android Auto infotainment systems will be standard across most models to include smartphone integration for navigation, audio streaming, and messaging.
