KNYSNA, South Africa – The 2020 Simola Hill-Climb event has been postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic so, to tide over motorsport fans, the organisers have announced a ”stay-at-home” Startline Challenge.

Everybody is invited to line up on the Simola start line by posting a photograph of any car they would love to enter into the real event – from your daily commuter to a luxury dream machine.

The event’s organisers told The Corner: “We know fans are frustrated by not being able to attend the real event in May 2020 to see SA and foreign competitors in action but the Startline Challenge is a bit of fun to keep you entertained.
”Now everybody can get creative, select a car, and race.
“We normally receive about 200 entries for the normal event so we’re challenging fans to see if they can beat that number hands down and invite or challenge friends – the results should create great interest and some entertaining banter!”
