JEREZ, Spain – The regional government of Andalusia, the city council of Jerez de la Frontera, and Dorna Sports have agreed to propose to the Spanish government that, if approved, would see the Jerez F1 circuit hold two MotoGP and one World Superbike round in July/August.

After an electronic meeting in early May 2020 Juan Antonio Marín (vice-president of the Andalusia regional government), Jerez mayor Mamen Sánchez Díaz, and Dorna Sports’ CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, agreed to propose to the Spanish government to have two MotoGP GP races at Jerez over the weekends of July 19 and 26.

Also proposed is a Superbike round at same venue on August 2.

If approved, the three events will be proposed to the FIM for the 2020 calendars. The first MotoGP would be in Spain, the second in Andalusia.
