JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Swedish automaker Volvo, as part of a global staff shuffle, has appointed South African Charmagne Mavudzi as Volvo Car SA’s customer experience director.
She joined the company in 2018 as head of marketing and communications after studying at the Gordon Business Institute but began her career as a tech entrepreneur before moving to prominent roles at the Child Trace Initiative and their tech driver TR8 technologies.

Stints at Handel Marketing and Accenture followed before she joined Ogilvy & Mather as head of marketing and communications and a key role in staff movements through 2017.

At Volvo SA Mavudzi has the reins of a new customer-focused portfolio guiding Volvo owners from first acquisition to return buying.
Volvo plans to complete its restructuring by the end of 2020.
