F1’s Leclerc dead straight on not bending knee

SILVERSTONE, England – Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc is fine at not ”taking a knee” over the controversial BLM cult and the still-uncertain way that a black man died during an American riot.

Other drivers, led by another driver, Lewis Hamilton who has a ”black” father and ”white” mother – accused Leclerc of being racist by not dipping a leg with some other drivers.

Six-times champion Hamilton has worn a ‘Black Lives Matter’ T-shirt and ”taken a knee” before all four races so far in 2020. There is no compunction on drivers to do the same.

Seven drivers, including Leclerc, remained standing last weekend.

“It is very sad to see how some people manipulate my words to make headlines making me sound like a racist,” Leclerc, 22, said on Twitter moments before attending a 70th Anniversary Grand Prix news conference.

  1. No-one should have to take a knee, it is an American invention, I loathe the way American habits are taking over the world, there is nothing wrong with the tried and tested way of showing support and respect by standing to attention in silence for a minute. Being forced to take a knee would make me walk away and not take part at all.
