Mazda Midnight – another member of CityProof gang

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Nissan SA has added another model to its Qashqai CityProof family, dubbed it the Midnight Edition, and pointed the vehicle towards buyers seeking ”the ultimate urban crossover”.

The Midnight is said to further enhance and simplify city living while adding style, presence and personality from its black roofline through black wind 19” alloy wheel rims to gloss-black mirror caps.

Kabelo Rabotho, Nissan Group Africa’s marketing director, told The Corner: “We want to have products that are innovative, beautiful, by bringing ingenuity into vehicle engineering, development and production.

SLEEKER, SMARTER

”Through this latest special version we introduce a very modern and stylish personality – that’s what the Qashqai Midnight Edition will be to its drivers and passengers.”

The Midnight claims sleeker looks and smarter design that include a darkened front bumper insert and darkened V-Motion grille, space, comfort and technology.

To emphasise the night-time effect, the Midnight brings black cabin air vents and gear-shifter, Alcantara upholstery, and floor mats emblazoned with red “Qashqai”.

“This special edition,” Rabotho added, ”has unmatched enhancements that offer owners confidence, pride, and a bolder ride through life.”

The Midnight, Mazda says, is also kitted out with a surround-view internal mirror that warns of moving objects and a possible head-on collision – the latter likely to be mitigated by an emergency braking system.

There are also blind-spot and cross-traffic alerts – after all, the city is likely to be the Mazda Midnight’s natural environment.
