JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – The Suzuki Swift, South Africa’s top award-winning Budget Car of the Year, has a fresh, new look and extra specifications.
The current generation Suzuki Swift was introduced to South Africa in 2018 and has since become a best-seller. Along the way it’s scored Car of the Year nominations and awards in Europe, Japan, and South Africa.
Suzuki says its designers have retained the overall visual signature with only minor changes, among them a distinctive chromed line between grille and a large Suzuki badge and a lower section that carries the front registration plate.

The grille has is said to have a more distinctive mesh that emphasises what Suzuki describes as a sporty nature, and the GL and GL units have added are front foul-weather lights while the entry-level GA now has full wheel-covers and rear parking sensors while the GL adds rear parking radar and more two-tone paint options.
The range-topping GLX also adds a high-resolution reversing camera that displays its image on the touch screen infotainment system. On the GLX, you can specify any of the tone-colour options and you receive attractive, new 15″ polished alloy wheel rims.

Electronic stability control has been added to all models to support the already-standard crash mitigation features which include nitrogen crash cushions, IsoFix child-seat restraints, central locking, crash mitigation belts with pre-tensioners, and an immobiliser/alarm.
