LOS ANGELES, California – Kia’s all-new EV6 battery-car claims to have made the Guinness Book of World Records by travelling 4636km with the shortest charging time to cross the United States in an electric vehicle.
The seven-day trek from New York to the City of Angels included seven hours 10 minutes of stationary recharging which, the automaker claimed, was five-and -a-half hours less than competitor Tesla.
‘WE REALLY ARE GOING ELECTRIC’
Russell Wager, Kia America’s vice-president, told The Corner: “The EV6’s record-setting run is the latest signal that Kia will be a leader in making electric cars popular.
”All our engineering and experience in electric vehicles will be applied in moving to electrification.

“The same attention to detail, design, quality, technology, and driving dynamics for which Kia is known will be found in every new electric vehicle we bring to market.”
The EV6, The Corner was told, is the first model to be launched under Kia’s Plan S which puts electrification on point for the company’s future.
