CAPE TOWN, South Africa – KIA’s Sportage has won the 2022 Women’s World Car of the Year awards’ ‘Family SUV’ category after 56 female motoring journalists from 40 countries reviewed a range of such vehicles during 2021.
The Sportage was one of 65 contenders from six categories: Family SUV, Urban Model, Large Car, Luxury SUV, Performance Car, and 4×4. Nine versions of the vehicle are available in South Africa.
”The judges,” Kia reported, ”were impressed by the vehicle’s safety innovations, enjoyable driving experience, comfort features, state-of-the-art tech, stylish design, impressive efficiency, low environmental footprint, and strong value for money.”
“‘The wagon also,” Kia told The Corner, ”scored points for its interior layout, leg- and headroom for family trips, high-tech driving and convenience features and connected travelling experience.”
