JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Suzuki Auto SA in April 2022 set another sales record with 3696 new vehicles delivered to South African customers and a five more to regional customers.
It was the fourth consecutive month of sales records for the brand.
Naamsa – the industry business council – also reported the Suzuki Swift as SA’s top-selling car for the month thanks to nearly 100 units more than any other brand and model.
Suzuki added that it was now “firmly entrenched” as third in overall sales, behind Toyota (including Lexus and Hino) and Volkswagen (including Audi).
NEW VEHICLES ‘FLOWING’
Henno Havenga, Suzuki’s SA’s dealer sales manager, told The Corner: “We welcomed the Celerio, one of SA’s most affordable and fuel-efficient cars. It strengthened our range with Suzuki’s proven Japanese quality and durability.
“We’ve also secured a strong flow of new vehicles from abroad so should be able to reduce waiting lists for not only the Celerio but also Swift, Jimny, Vitara Brezza and Baleno units.
“There are many more exciting things ahead for Suzuki. We have started delivering the latest Jimny in GL specification and will soon launch an all-new Baleno… and we have several other Suzuki surprises in the wings.”
