Missed latest Suzy at Nampo? Here it is!

  • First viewing of all-new Baleno
  • Swift – SA’s best-selling passenger car – on show
  • New Suzuki GSX-S1000 GT also on display

SUZUKI SA will reveal its all-new Baleno hatch at Nampo 2022 as part of a comprehensive range of four- and two-wheel products that will also include a range of boating products.

The Baleno, The Corner was told, was only revealed globally at the end of February 2022 but will be in showrooms soon.

“This Baleno,” Suzuki said, ”introduces a new design language for our brands and brings modern technology, such as a head-up display, 22cm infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, aircon, and up to six crash mitigation bags to the segment.


Brendon Carpenter, Suzuki SA’s marketing manager, enlarged: ”We’re proud to display the new Baleno to the thousands of visitors at Nampo – particularly because its arrival shows to the importance of the South African market.

“Suzuki is one of SA’s fastest-growing vehicle brands and its range of products shows buyers don’t have to sacrifice quality or luxury when buying an affordable family car, 4×4 or workhorse.”


Suzuki’s new Celerio, considered one of South Africa’s most fuel-efficient vehicles given its less than five litres/100km in a combined cycle, will also be on show along with the Swift Sport (fresh from its impressive 54-second run at the Simola Hillclimb) and the Suzuki Jimny with its new Rhino Edition kit.

Visitors to Nampo will also be able to view and experience new products from Suzuki Motorcycles and Suzuki Marine.In the 2022 Jimny, the Rhino Edition kit includes decals, a Rhino-branded soft spare-wheel cover, the Suzuki Heritage grille, red Suzuki mud flaps, and rain and wind deflectors.
