Calling Audi owners! Get your connected drive

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Audi SA has introduced free national availability of its connect plug-‘n-play device to owners whose vehicle was sold new since 2008 but without connected integrated technology.

The app (iOS/Android) lets a smartphone use Bluetooth to make a vehicle a connected car “in no time at all”.

Hassan Salie, Audi SA’s head of aftersales and dealer development, told The Corner: “We understand that Audi customers keep their vehicles for longer and want to get the most out of them with the latest technology.

“The device is part of a commitment to bring digital innovation to all our customers.”

The cars will receive several benefits, among them an overview of important car data (mileage, fuel levels, vehicle ID number), driving style, service appointments, roadside assistance calls, vehicle location – and automatic connection to their Audi dealer.”

Audi dealers will also be digitally equipped to communicate with drivers about service intervals and, potentially, other offers free of charge and customers are encouraged to contact their preferred dealer.
