JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – The SA Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has announced that the pump prices of petrol and diesel fuels will decrease on Wednesday August 3).
The petrol price will drop by by R1.32 on Wednesday for both grades of fuel and the diesel price will drop by between 88 and 91c/litre,
Paraffin will cost R1.44 less/litre.
STATE-GOVERNED PRICING TO GO
More good news is that the process to deregulate petrol prices has begun.
Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe has published a notice for public comment which would allow retailers to determine their own prices – up to a limit.
